Good Morning, Sweet Baby,
A guilty conscience has forced me to write you the truth. You may disregard the closing of my previous letter (if you haven't already!) I just wanted you to know what it's like to receive a letter with, "I fool around, but I love you" for a closing. That was a pretty dumby thing to do on your part, but I'm sorry I wrote the same thing in retaliation.
Sunday, 27 Oct
11-7 will be my last night and I'd be ready to leave ASAP except for the fact that my household goods may not be packed until the week of the 4th. Oh well, it gives me a lot of time to goof-off anyway (as if I need it!)
It's been dead around here -- can't even watch TV at Dodie's because Don has a day job now and is home every evening. Sheila's still on leave & Ann has her own friends. So here sit I. At any rate, I get 8-9 hours sleep each day which is a luxury I can rarely afford.
I enjoyed myself tonight working on ward two instead of OB. I really enjoyed the three children who are there at patients. (God I'm getting sleepy & repetitious!) Maybe pediatrics would be a good change for me. Too bad I marked it as my last choice on the application.
Please take good care of yourself.
Love,
Barbara
