Dear Jerry,
It's balmy & beautiful outside. Someone on the radio is singing "Sunny" and life is simply good today. I wish you could share this feeling with me.
The days are whipping by, Jerry, and I still have no idea where I'll be going -- no responses as yet from the places I'm interested in. I wrote a letter today for more information about a position in Panama (It's probably a two year or more commitment).
The cyst is still sitting pretty on my right ovary, no larger, no smaller. Dr. Goodman sounds knife-happy, but there's really no need for an operation, I'm sure. Anyway, I'll consult Dr. Flanagan before I consent to anything.
Roger Williams is playing "I Will Wait for You."
Steve Allen came to the ward last week to find out how you're doing -- I told him all I knew. That's not much!
It's been a lazy week and I've certainly enjoyed the indulgence. Nothing like a little pagan sun worshiping every once in awhile to make the bod feel good again. I'm getting freckles again, but I've always liked them in small quantities.
Since this letter is getting progressively more boring, I'll wait until I have something exciting to say before writing again. You may never hear from me again at that rate. Anyway when I know more about my future status I'll clue you in.
Please take care of yourself. I love you.
Love,
Barbara
P.S. I hope the thesis case arrives in good condition. With a minimum of wrapping, it met PAL requirements, which meant a $6 saving from regular air mail.
